The purpose of this game is to encourage time with your horse (training and riding).
Rules
1. The Distance Derby begins April 1, 2013 and ends 11:59pm October 31, 2013. All eligible hours/miles must be accumulated in that time period. Participants can join at any time. Hours/miles will be counted from the date of enrollment.
2. A team is one rider and one or more horses/mules.
3. Submit a brief bio (with your team name). You will be assigned a team number and your bio will be shared on the website. Include a picture of you and one of your team mates for fun.
4. Any time you train or ride your horse, record your hours/miles. You can accumulate your hours/miles and post monthly on the website (minnehahacountysaddleclub.webs.com (but still working out the details)). A traveling poster will be presented at the monthly saddle club meetings to visually track team hours/miles.
5. The team with the highest hours/miles wins an award. Additional prizes may be awarded.
This is a “race”. So let the competition begin!
